Orly Barnoach

Orly Barnoach is a multidisciplinary visual artist, graduate of Hamidrasha - Faculty of Arts.
She focuses on installation art, sculpture, and drawing, while also working as an interior designer.
Her works emerge from an exploration of various materials and phenomena, using them as a means to express complex ideas.
A central technique in her practice involves assembling perforated industrial panels of varying sizes.
Onto these surfaces, she adds images, visual codes, or symbols using screws and threads that alter and transform the panels.
Another technique involves tracking the movement of light over extended periods of time, or closely observing materials -
everyday materials from the domestic environment (such as tiles and carpets), as well as from public and urban spaces
where the marks of time become both inspiration and artistic material.
Barnoach positions both her own body and the bodies of viewers as active participants in the encounter with the artwork.
The functionality of her works is deceptive: metal panels, screws, and threads appear as clear and tangible objects,
yet they also operate as abstract systems of memory, movement, and layers of time.
Each of her works creates a dialogue between physical materiality and a conceptual dimension that seeks to redefine
the relationships between matter, memory, and the body.
