Oren Markovitz studied art at Beit Berl Collage. In his paintings, he presents the internal conflict through which he lives and creates. Markovitz constructs a new pictorial world that touches on classic, even realistic figurative painting while remaining full of abstract and expressive content.
In his rich oil paintings, he often mixes recurring motives, creating a visual language that might seem familliar even though it’s unique and characterizes Markovitz’s style.
Markovitz’s artistic development includes diverse diciplines, such as writing music and poetry. These get a visual representation in his paintings.
Since graduating, he presented his works in many important galleries and art centers, both national and international, including the Tel-Aviv University gallery, ND Gallery, Center for Contemporary Art in Rotterdam, The Herzliya Stage Arts Center and Tel Aviv Artist’s House. His works are collected by business collectors like Isrotel Collection, Publica Hotel and many more around the world.
